• Identify the current understanding of these processes
• Measurement and reporting procedures
• Examine current 'pain points' and 'tomorrow's desirables'
• Obtain Management vision of any new world (brand new or revised)
• Are current processes suitable or should new ones be introduced
• Sanity check any new or revised processes with points 1 and 3
• Cross reference these with points 5 and 6
